Principal Product Manager – Asset Construction Management (ACM)

As Principal Product Manager – Asset Construction Management (ACM), you will be responsible for end-to-end global product management activities for the ACM product line. ACM delivers customer value by ingesting highly varied data feeds, managing diverse powered and non-powered assets, enabling rapid decision-making with reporting/analytics, and facilitating preventative maintenance workflows.

You will have an opportunity to manage the vision, mission and execution of ACM by developing product strategies, managing roadmaps, conducting market analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Success in this position is evaluated based on your ability to engage with customers to identify critical needs, increase product adoption, drive revenue growth, and launch innovative features that further distinguish the solution in the marketplace. You will report to the Director of Product Management and work closely with a globally distributed team to align product initiatives with the company's strategic goals. This position is pivotal in advancing the company's mission to provide industry leading fleet and asset management solutions for the global construction industry.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Technical Partnership: Leverage your asset management / construction background to collaborate with solution engineers and engineering teams.
  • Negotiate, and manage relationships with key partners, including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
  • Strategic market planning, business case & plan development, for your product lines or features.
  • Own product commercialization globally including build vs buy vs partner / integrate to drive roadmap decisions.
  • Develop and/or assist in formulating pricing & payment models for your product lines or features.
  • Be the expert on industry trends, competitive threats, expansion opportunities and engage in VOC to understand customer needs.
  • Define short mid long term product roadmap & prioritize product backlog.
  • Complete product requirements (epics/stories) and prioritize features for development teams.
  • Provide a periodic review of the product plan & roadmap and progress to senior management.
  • Measure & report on product line financial metrics e.g., customer growth, contract value and operating profit.
  • Liase with sales, marketing CSS to support customers & partners challenges.
  • Support & respond to RFPs.
  • Work with "go to market" teams to bring products to market and ensure cross functional team readiness on product value, key differentiators etc.
  • Train sales & marketing + support teams on product line.
  • Negotiate & manage partners and suppliers.
  • Work closely with supply chain & operations to launch new products.
  • Sunset /EOL legacy devices products as needed and provide a transition path for customers.

Required Skills / Qualifications

  • Degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent. MBA Preferred.
  • 7 + years in a product management role.
  • Credible and direct construction industry experience pertaining to fleet platforms, asset management, telematics, maintenance, and operations.
  • SaaS business model experience.
  • Ability to travel/internationally 10-15%

The base compensation range for this position is $150,000 to $190,000 per annum. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon numerous factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
