Technical product managers at U.S. Bank oversee the strategic product management for an assigned technical product line(s) in support of the enterprise organization's goals and market needs. Engages with key stakeholders to define, document, and prioritize features; ensures delivery of marketable capabilities for all U.S. Bank engineering teams while collaborating with agile teams.

  • Aligns the strategic vision with cross-functional stakeholders to shape outcome-based product roadmap, product risk, investment areas and success measures.
  • Drives product development with ownership of backlog and actively engages cross-functional stakeholders to enable faster speed to market.
  • Manages across enterprise users to define and deliver product performance goals (e.g., outcomes, customer experience, etc.).
  • Owns all engagement for assigned technical portfolio regarding the SDLC, e.g., adoption, collaboration.
  • Develops, analyses, monitors, and reports on performance metrics from internal and external sources to identify key trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Uses performance metrics to drive towards progress on identified strategies and initiatives.
  • Leverages OKRs (objectives and key results) to drive roadmap priorities.

Basic qualifications:

  • Technical product management experience

Preferred skills/experience:

  • Own the product roadmap for enterprise data platforms (Snowflake + Databricks), including capability prioritization, adoption targets, and ROI tracking.
  • Define and manage platform requirements for data ingestion, transformation, governance, and analytics enablement across business and engineering teams.
  • Partner with data engineering and DevOps to design scalable, secure, and cost-optimized Snowflake/Databricks architectures.
  • Drive platform onboarding, documentation, and enablement (self-service templates, reference architectures, migration playbooks).
  • Establish and measure KPIs for platform performance (cost efficiency, workload reliability, query performance, data SLAs).
  • Lead backlog grooming with engineering teams to deliver features like CI/CD pipelines, environment automation, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Collaborate with security, risk, and compliance to ensure data platform controls (access policies, auditing, encryption, lineage).
  • Influence cloud infrastructure strategy (networking, storage, compute sizing) to support data workloads at scale.
  • Manage vendor relationships and licensing for Snowflake/Databricks; optimize spend through usage analytics and governance.
  • Serve as the "voice of the customer" for platform users, translating pain points into prioritized platform enhancements.
  • Define and prioritize requirements for data pipelines (batch/streaming), including SLAs, latency, and reliability targets.
  • Partner with data engineering teams to standardize ingestion patterns, data modeling practices, and transformation frameworks (e.g., ELT/ETL).
  • Ensure data quality and observability by driving implementation of validation checks, lineage, and monitoring dashboards.
  • Guide adoption of scalable storage and compute patterns for large datasets, optimizing for performance and cost.
  • Collaborate with analytics and ML teams to align curated datasets and feature stores with downstream use cases.
  • Expertise on the critical interdependencies among product model system elements that help and hinder performance; ability to plan and design solutions that synchronize resources to achieve business results using business metrics, key performance indicators design systems, service blueprints, and reusability
  • Technical know-how understands the product technical architecture and understands the economics of technical investments
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of target customer through internal/external research (e.g., creation of personas, story maps, product chartering/mapping experience)
  • Strong collaboration with software engineers to execute product vision and roadmap
  • Preferred skills: product strategy, vision and planning, product discovery, product development, agile ways of working, enterprise technical alignment and performance measurement and optimization

Location expectations:

  • This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $133,365.00 - $156,900.00
