Sr Designer

Senior UX Designer

An employer is seeking a Senior UX Designer to join one of our largest national financial services clients. In this role, you will support strategic pillars in the organization and address complex design challenges - from client onboarding, to money movement and designing for ultra high net worth clients. You will work closely with research, service design, as well as product managers, engineers and business stakeholders to deliver both prototypes and polished design artifacts and help consolidate design as a critical strategic player.

Responsibilities:

• Define and champion the user experience strategy for wealth management products, balancing client needs with regulatory and business constraints.
• Partner with research and service design to validate concepts.
• Partner with product and engineering to ensure design quality through development.
• Contribute to and evolve our design system.
• Present design work to senior leadership, clearly articulating rationale and tradeoffs.
• Mentor mid-level and junior designers and help evaluate design craft across the team.

Skills and Requirements:

• 4+ years of product/UX design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating complex problem-solving in data-rich or regulated industries.
• Strong design system skills - fluency with component libraries and design tokens.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong communication skills with a track record of influencing decisions through design.
• Experience with research methodologies and interpreting both quantitative and qualitative insights (experience with DoveTail a plus).
• Ability to be on-site in downtown Minneapolis 4 days a week.
