Technical Marketing Manager – Americas (Energy Resilience: Power & Energy Solutions)

The Technical Marketing Manager – Americas (Energy Resilience) defines and drives the marketing strategy for Tektronix's portfolio of power electronics, high power & data center test solutions, and energy / renewable energy applications. This role leads the development of segment strategy, messaging, go-to-market planning, and demand generation activities tied to the emerging Energy Resilience megatrend — including grid modernization, energy storage systems, EV charging infrastructure, renewable generation validation, and critical power systems for data centers and telecom.

This person will work closely with the Power & Energy Business Development team, Sales, Product Marketing, Engineering, and Field teams to ensure technology value is clearly articulated in a way that accelerates pipeline and revenue growth in the Americas region.

Salary Range

U.S. Base Salary Range: $120,000 – $140,000 per year (target)

This range reflects market compensation for technical marketing leaders with energy / power segment expertise in U.S. technology sectors, aligned to internal benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

Segment Strategy & Market Leadership

  • Define the Energy Resilience megatrend strategy for the Americas region — including power electronics, high power systems, utility and grid applications, energy storage, data centers, and renewable energy test solutions.
  • Understand key market drivers (grid modernization, decarbonization, storage integration, power conversion technologies) and translate them into actionable marketing plans.

Messaging & Technical Positioning

  • Create and maintain clear, differentiated messaging frameworks that communicate segment value to technical and business buyers (e.g., power systems engineers, energy storage integrators, data center architects).
  • Partner with product and engineering to ensure technical accuracy and competitive differentiation across all materials.

Go-to-Market Planning & Execution

  • Lead regional go-to-market planning with demand generation, field marketing, and channel teams aligned to segment priorities and business goals.
  • Collaborate with global teams to localize campaigns for the Americas audience segments.

Demand Generation & Segment Campaigns

  • Plan and execute targeted, multi-channel campaigns (email, digital ads, content syndication, webinars, ABM programs) focused on critical energy resilience use cases.
  • Optimize campaign performance using metrics such as engagement, pipeline influence, and conversion.

Field & Sales Enablement

  • Develop field-ready sales tools, technical content, solution briefs, playbooks, and competitive intelligence resources.
  • Train sales and business development teams on segment messaging, value propositions, and differentiation.

Partner & Ecosystem Marketing

  • Collaborate with channel partners, key accounts, and system integrators to co-market energy resilience solutions.
  • Support partner marketing activities with tailored collateral and joint campaign planning.

Market Intelligence & Analytics

  • Monitor competitive landscape, industry trends, and customer insights to inform strategy adjustments.
  • Report on KPIs that measure campaign effectiveness, segment pipeline contribution, and content ROI.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in technical marketing, product marketing, or strategic marketing roles in power electronics, energy systems, renewable energy, or related technology markets.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute marketing strategy for complex technical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical value in business terms.
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation systems (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics).

Preferred

  • Experience marketing to energy / power systems buyers, grid & utility sectors, data center operators, energy storage and EV charger ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, battery systems), power converters, inverters, UPS systems, and high-power test applications.
  • Demonstrated success with multi-channel demand generation, segment campaigns, and ABM.
  • Analytical skillset with ability to measure and optimize marketing performance.

Success Metrics & KPIs

  • Pipeline Influence: Contribution to qualified opportunity creation and full-funnel pipeline tied to segment campaigns.
  • Engagement Metrics: Lead quality, click-through rates, webinar attendance, content downloads.
  • Sales Enablement Adoption: Usage of segment assets by sales / field teams and measurable uplift in deal velocity.
  • Market Reach: Growth in awareness within defined energy resilience audiences (e.g., utilities, EPCs, integrators, data center engineering communities).
  • Campaign ROI: Conversion rates, cost per lead, and contribution to revenue attainment.

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 91700.00-170100.00
