ModMed is hiring a passionate Product Owner, MIPS Quality to drive the delivery of healthcare regulatory and compliance initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver truly disruptive and transformative products that will impact the healthcare industry and ensure ModMed meets expanding healthcare regulations.

Your Role:

  • Interpret and analyze federal MIPS/MVP regulations.
  • Author clear, detailed Epics, Features, and User Stories that reflect regulatory requirements and certification goals.
  • Collaborate closely with compliance, product managers, engineers, QA, and UX to ensure development aligns with certification criteria.
  • Serve as the point of contact for understanding evolving regulatory requirements and mapping those to system behaviors or data models.
  • Own the backlog and prioritize features related to regulatory deliverables, ensuring timely execution against compliance deadlines.
  • Lead internal and external audits, mock attestations, and testing required for certification.
  • Stay current on health IT policy updates, technical specifications, and industry best practices.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CBAP, CPHIMS, PMI-ACP) a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner, with at least 2+ years in healthcare regulatory compliance or EHR product development.
  • Proven track record in translating regulations into system-level requirements and development artifacts.
  • Deep understanding of the ONC Health IT Certification Program, CMS interoperability, and Quality Measure regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe preferred); experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintaining product backlogs.
  • Familiarity with healthcare standards and vocabularies (FHIR, CDA, HL7, NCPDP, LOINC, SNOMED CT, RxNorm).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • The ability to work either Eastern or Central time zone is preferred.

Preferred Experience:

  • Direct experience with MIPS Certification submission.
  • Experience working within an ambulatory healthcare setting.
  • Experience working in or with an EHR vendor or healthcare software organization.
