Amplify your impact at a world top 50 University
Join our inclusive, collaborative community
Be surrounded by extraordinary ideas - and the people who discover them
At Monash Art, Design and Architecture (MADA), we believe that creative thinking is essential to shaping socially responsible, culturally enriched, and environmentally sustainable communities. Based at the Caulfield Campus, the cultural heart of Monash University, our Faculty brings together world-class experts across fine art, design, and architecture to drive innovation through rigorous practice and scholarship. We are a dynamic, future-focused Faculty committed to excellence, diversity, and bold ideas.
We are seeking a resourceful, digitally literate, and culturally attuned Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to the Dean of Monash Art, Design and Architecture – a contemporary, collaborative, and values-driven leader.
This is not a typical EA role. While you will manage core responsibilities – complex calendar and travel coordination, supporting high-level meetings and events, and streamlining office operations – you will also contribute in areas that reflect the creative and outward-facing nature of the Faculty and help provide the foundation for the Dean to lead effectively. These include:
This role offers the chance to work closely with an inspiring leader while gaining first-hand exposure to networks and projects at the intersection of academia, culture, and industry. For the right candidate, it can be a springboard to future opportunities.
You are a curious and proactive professional with a strong grounding in administration and executive support, complemented by experience in a creative, cultural, or design-related environment. You might come from a background as a studio manager or communications/operations lead, or arts management, and you are eager to bring that versatility, sharp eye for detail, problem-solving mindset, and emotional intelligence to a university setting.
You will demonstrate:
If this sounds like you, be part of our story and apply today!
Diversity is one of our greatest strengths at Monash. We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, culturally and linguistically diverse people, people with disabilities, neurodivergent people, and people of all genders, sexualities, and age groups.
We are committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible recruitment process at Monash. If you need any reasonable adjustments, please contact us at hr-recruitment@monash.edu in an email titled 'Reasonable Adjustments Request' for a confidential discussion.
