Eaton Vance Equity is comprised of six distinct investment teams of experienced, long-tenured investors. We employ bottom-up, research driven investment approaches designed to deliver attractive risk-adjusted long-term performance for clients. Eaton Vance Equity investment teams manage diverse strategies across U.S., international, and global equity covering various market capitalization and investment styles.

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join Eaton Vance Equity to support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Portfolio Specialists on behalf of the Equity Investment Team.

As an Associate, you will support both the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Equity Portfolio Specialist team at Eaton Vance. This dual-faceted role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth functioning of operational processes within the equity team and in effectively supporting Eaton Vance marketing and client-service related functions.

Collaborate with Portfolio Specialists to develop compelling and differentiated product messaging for Eaton Vance Equity's strategies, ensuring consistency across various product sets and distribution channels. Assist the COO with daily oversight of investment operations within the equity team.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop a strong understanding of Eaton Vance Equity's suite of funds and investment strategies.
  • Provide responses to RFPs and DDQs and general client questions for review by senior staff or investment personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining the integrity of investment data. Generate regular and ad-hoc reports (e.g., performance and portfolio characteristics, team data, revenue).
  • Reviewing fact sheets & pitch books for accuracy.
  • Using FactSet and internal data tools to generate data to respond to inquiries related to performance, holdings, requests for collateral, etc.
  • Writing pooled vehicle commentaries.
  • Assist in creation of new content to be used internally and externally.
  • Review institutional client reporting (by liaising with the Client Reporting Team), including attribution reporting and quarterly reports.
  • Work closely with key internal partner teams (Marketing, Compliance, Risk, Technology, Trading, Operations, Client Reporting) to ensure timeliness in deliverables.
  • Contribute to maintaining proper controls, understanding risk, and ensuring compliance with all regulations and practices. Assist with internal audits, client audits and compliance exams.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed, contributing to the development and execution of strategic objectives.
  • Help manage relationships and internal processes with third-party providers including, but not limited to, data management services.
  • Assist the COO with the daily oversight of investment operations. Partner to implement and optimize technology solutions and tools including tactical and strategic implementations, artificial intelligence, and workflow tools.
  • Supporting Eaton Vance Equity Portfolio Specialists & the COO in their day-to-day business as relevant.

Key Skills Desired include:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, finance or another related field with strong academic record.
  • 2-4 years of related employment experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Experience with Morningstar, eVestment, and FactSet also beneficial.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000.00 and $140,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
