Product Delivery Manager
As the Product Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of product outcomes aligned with the Product roadmap and strategy. This role involves leading cross-functional teams in specific projects and programs, resolving issues, managing risks, and making decisions and escalations. The Product Delivery Manager will also be responsible for preparing stakeholder updates primarily to the steering team and more widely to those impacted by the delivery of the project.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the project and program management from project sign-off through to development and delivery as assigned by the Senior Project Manager.
- Gaining sufficient technical understanding to lead effectively and appropriately in line with the specific needs of the change.
- Empowering individuals appropriate to their roles.
- Encouraging collaboration within the team and within NIQ.
- Demonstrating ownership in communication to senior stakeholders and other NIQ parties external to the core project team.
- Leading the management of the project RAID by proactively raising and resolving project risks, issues, decisions, and any other blockers with the relevant stakeholder, customer, or team.
- Defining project/program schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value.
- Correcting deviations from plans and performing delivery planning for assigned projects/programs.
- Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and Product teams to ensure the roadmap is understood and meets the business goals.
- Defining the project RACI and leading the team in its application by demonstrating effective allocation of tasks and decision-making.
- Defining the project communication strategy recognizing the differing needs across the business and ensuring stakeholders are consulted and informed as appropriate.
- Organizing and leading project and program working meetings ensuring they effectively meet their objectives through an efficient use of the right roles as defined in the RACI.
- Preparing and distributing status update reports where applicable.
- Accurately managing project spend by leading the team to estimate efforts to the level of accuracy determined by the size and stage of the project and then tracking that spend throughout the project. Ensuring spend is approved and signed off by the appropriate budget holder depending on type and size of spend.
- Liaise with third parties throughout the project lifecycle, as required to cover appropriate application of RACI, RAID management, and track spend and delivery.
Qualifications include:
- Essential: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent professional qualification or experience, demonstrable experience in project management, and/or application design & development with an IT/technical background, ability to manage multiple projects successfully and prioritize effectively, exposure to working on agile methodologies and using agile tools, ability to effectively influence multiple levels of an organization across functional boundaries, strong analytic and problem-solving skills, strong oral and written communication skills including problem solving, prioritizing, and interpersonal relationship building, proven track record in working directly with stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that enable their business objectives, proven track record in making significant contributions to team efforts, proven organization and time management skills (ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines), ability to work independently with little supervision and direct the work of others.
- Preferred: Experience in the FMCG business domain.
