Sound Designer / Composer

N-iX Games is looking for a Sound Designer / Composer to join our team.

Founded in 2012, N-iX Games is one of the biggest game development and art production vendors in Ukraine and Poland, working with leading publishers and media enterprises around the globe as a service provider. The team of 240+ professionals focuses on full-cycle game development, team extension, VR solutions, and content creation for all the most popular platforms. The studio has successfully collaborated with over 40 clients, including Blizzard Entertainment, Ubisoft, Gearbox Software, Paradox Interactive, Tempo Storm, and Supermassive Games.

Responsibilities

  • Create and integrate sound effects for characters, UI, environments, weapons, vehicles, and gameplay events
  • Compose original music for various game scenes and moods
  • Work with ambient sounds and atmosphere design
  • Edit, process, and mix audio assets
  • Integrate audio into the game engine
  • Collaborate with developers and game designers to achieve a cohesive gameplay experience
  • Maintain a consistent audio style throughout the project

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Sound Designer / Composer in the game industry
  • Strong proficiency with DAWs (Ableton Live, Cubase, Reaper, or others)
  • Understanding of game audio production principles
  • Skills in sound recording, synthesis, and audio processing
  • Experience integrating audio into Unreal Engine will be a plus
  • Understanding of adaptive/interactive audio systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines

Nice to Have

  • Experience with FMOD or Wwise
  • Voice editing and mastering skills
  • Experience creating cinematic music
  • Understanding of the game development pipeline
  • Knowledge of Perforce / Git / Jira / Confluence
