We are seeking a talented and passionate Mechanical Designer II to join our growing team. As a Designer, you will play a key role in creating innovative and impactful design solutions that elevate the lives of our users/clients. You will work closely with the project engineer and other team members to translate concepts into compelling and user-friendly designs.

Key Responsibility and Expertise:

  • Proficient in designing and drafting mechanical and plumbing systems including: Ductwork, Piping, Sanitary systems, Domestic water, medical gas, Compressed air, Natural gas and Water heating systems
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop and evaluate design concepts.
  • Assess feasibility of design ideas based on safety, function, and serviceability.
  • Create detailed drawings, blueprints, and sketches using Revit software.
  • Develop construction documents and coordinate intermittent submissions.
  • Work closely with other disciplines to ensure cohesive design integration.
  • Conduct field investigations and site visits.
  • Skilled in determining optimal routing and sizing systems.
  • High proficiency in computer-aided design tools and software.

Qualifications:

  • Healthcare Experience is required
  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ABET-accredited)
  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and working toward professional licensure (PE) (Preferred)
  • Experience: 4+ years as a mechanical designer
  • Computer Skills: Revit, AutoCAD MEP, MS Office Suite, Trane TOPSS, Trace 3D
  • Travel: up to 10% depending on project
