This position is part of Novanta's Advanced Surgery business unit; specialized in the field of Minimally Invasive Medicine. Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) is a major advancement in medical technology that uses small incisions and specialized tools with cameras, instead of traditional open surgery.

Job Summary

Execution and evaluation functional tests on components and subassemblies of our devices and tube sets (functional tests, stress tests, fatigue strength tests, fit accuracy and assembly tests, document checks, 3D Modell checks) including documentation in English language.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support of the Mechanical Design Department in daily work to ensure timely delivery of all required documents
  • Execution and evaluation of functional design tests and support on first article inspections including documentation in English language
  • Specification reviews and adaptation to prepare the release of components for serial production

Required Experience, Education, Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelorant/Masterant Medical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering
  • Good technical understanding
  • Logical and analytical work
  • Knowledge in the documentation of scientific results
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • Quality conscious, trustworthy and reliable
  • Structured and systematic way of working
  • Team player
  • Communicative skills
