Our community, whom we call Divers, don't just work—they dive deep, solve complex challenges, and make a real impact with global industry leaders. And in doing so, they don't just support bold ideas—they expand their skills, broaden their expertise, and grow their careers.

We're hiring a Growth Analyst to support a fast-scaling consumer marketplace with data-driven insights. This role focuses on acquisition analytics, funnel optimization, and building reporting systems that bring clarity to marketing performance and business growth.

If you're SQL-strong, detail-oriented, and eager to turn data into actionable strategies, this opportunity is designed for you.

Accountability

As a Growth Analyst, your success will be measured by your ability to transform data into insights that drive efficient marketing, customer acquisition, and business decisions.

Here's how you'll make an impact:

Acquisition & Funnel Analytics

  • Evaluate marketing performance across channels including paid social, search, and direct mail.
  • Monitor funnel progression, conversion rates, and acquisition flow efficiency.
  • Design and analyze A/B tests to optimize landing pages, messaging, and campaigns.
  • Track and report on CAC, ROAS, LTV, and attribution models.

Reporting & Data Infrastructure

  • Build dashboards and automate reports in BI tools such as Amplitude or Metabase.
  • Maintain reliable data pipelines to ensure accuracy across teams.
  • Provide actionable insights that inform budget allocation and strategic growth decisions.

Colleagues

You'll report to the Head of Marketing and work with other internal and external stakeholders.

At Oceans, you'll also receive guidance and support from our Operations Manager, who will help you succeed in the role and ensure that you're continuously growing and developing in your career.

Skills & Qualifications

At Oceans, we believe in T-shaped individuals – those who bring deep expertise in one area, paired with broad curiosity and interests. As a Growth Analyst, your vertical strength will be in analytics and SQL, while your horizontal strengths may include marketing, experimentation, and business strategy.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Experience: 3+ years in analytics with proven marketing or growth focus.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced SQL with experience in Snowflake, MySQL, or Redshift.
  • Tools: Familiarity with BI tools (Amplitude, Metabase, or similar) and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Communication: Ability to distill complex data into clear insights for both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Mindset: Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Bonus: Experience with Python (pandas, NumPy), retention analytics, or geographic segmentation.

Diversity of experience is core to Oceans. You are expected to work inclusively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, ensuring that both personal and collective dignity are supported.

During the interview process, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills in the following areas:

  • Acquisition analytics: How do you evaluate performance across multiple marketing channels?
  • Funnel optimization: How do you identify drop-off points and recommend improvements?
  • SQL expertise: What's an example of a complex query you've written to solve a marketing problem?
  • Dashboarding & reporting: How have you built or automated dashboards that brought clarity to decision-making?
  • Collaboration: How do you communicate insights effectively across marketing, data, and leadership teams?

Role Specifications

This is a remote role, where you will be expected to work a split shift with some overlap with our client's time zone. You will, however, be expected to be present for in-person training programs during your first 90 days with us. During the offer process, we'll share more information about our benefits and compensation philosophy, considering both market trends and individual factors.
