Job Responsibilities

• Own and drive end-to-end design of AI-powered experiences across the Opal Platform
• Translate abstract AI capabilities into simple, meaningful, and trustworthy user experiences
• Collaborate with cross-functional peers in Product, Engineering, and Research to shape strategy and execution
• Partner with other designers to establish AI-specific design patterns and evolve our design system
• Conduct validation activities including prototyping, usability testing, and iterative refinement
• Communicate design decisions clearly, using storytelling to inspire stakeholders and align direction
• Stay current with industry trends in AI, design, and human-computer interaction to inform best practices

Knowledge and Experience

• 5+ years of product design experience with at least some focus on AI or complex systems
• A portfolio that showcases strong interaction design, visual design, and systems thinking
• Experience designing or contributing to AI/ML interfaces such as generative AI, automation, or intelligent assistants
• Strong collaboration skills with a proven ability to influence and align cross-functional partners
• Excellent storytelling and communication abilities
• Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma, and comfort working with design systems
• Growth mindset and adaptability to ambiguity in a fast-moving environment
• Nice to have: understanding of AI ethics, accessibility in AI, or experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Education

Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Graphic Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 5+ years of product design experience.

Base Salary: $113,452-$192,879
