UX Designer

Palo Alto Networks is building a world-class UX team and seeks a top-notch UX Designer to help shape our UX vision and processes. As a self-starter, you will work independently and as part of a team to identify challenges, define solutions, and champion great design. You must demonstrate intellectual curiosity, experiment with new technologies, and be receptive to feedback while maintaining strong UX principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end user experience for projects, from conception to delivery.
  • Create comprehensive prototypes and robust data visualizations to communicate the product vision effectively.
  • Partner with product managers to understand product goals and ensure the best user experience.
  • Work independently and take initiative to deliver on time, making appropriate compromises when necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to implement design specifications and act as a UX liaison.
  • Conduct high-level prototype testing to understand user behavior and expectations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience designing user-experience for data-heavy and complex web systems.
  • Portfolio demonstrating design challenges and workflows that met business and design goals.
  • Ability to apply UX principles and best practices consistently in designing elegant solutions for complex workflows.
  • Good prototyping and data visualization skills using standard design tools.
  • Ability to perform Quality Assurance (QA) on own work for consistency and adherence to established design guidelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • UX/HCI Degree from a well-known academic institute.
  • Experience designing products for security or IT users.
  • Experience in using data to drive design decisions.
  • Experience in augmenting common design system modules where needed.
