The College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST) at Penn State is seeking two instructional designers to join the Office of Learning Design.

The Office of Learning Design provides services for courses delivered in-residence, online, and in other formats. Our instructional designers collaborate with faculty on the design, revision, and delivery of courses across multiple modalities. We offer faculty development in a variety of formats and venues. Our team contributes to the larger community at Penn State and beyond through developing strategic partnerships and leading critical projects and committees.
Successful candidates will work closely with faculty and staff to create high-quality learning experiences that promote student success, effectively integrate instructional technologies, and meet accessibility standards.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies to enhance teaching, learning, and productivity, as well as familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas), accessibility standards and remediation, and quality frameworks (e.g., Quality Matters) is desirable.

Salary & Benefits

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
