The Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing seeks a creative, passionate, and skilled Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our Strategic Communications and Recruitment team.
This full-time and fully remote position supports the college's mission by raising awareness of our programs, promoting engagement, and strengthening our brand.
The Marketing and Communications Specialist will develop and implement a range of marketing, communications, and public relations strategies across print, digital, social media, events, and emerging media.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The role involves working independently and in close collaboration with internal teams (including faculty members), external partners, and vendors to plan campaigns, track progress, and solve problems.
Some of the centers and offices where core relationships will be built include the Tressa Nese and Helen Diskevich Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence, the Center for Nursing Research, and the Outreach and Professional Development Office.
While this position will work fully remote, occasional travel to Penn State's University Park campus will be required. Occasional evening or weekend work is required.

It is also required that applicants have versatile writing skills across audiences and platforms, including marketing and promotional copy, content and storytelling, digital and social media posts, internal communications, strategic and formal writing, and technical/support materials.
Additional Qualifications:
It is preferred that applicants have experience with any of the following:
Experience in healthcare-related environments, community health needs assessment, or healthcare delivery is a plus.
It is also preferred that candidates have familiarity with Penn State's brand book, as well as photography and videography skills. Familiarity with both Hootsuite and WordPress is also a plus.
Minimum Education, Work Experience & Required Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

Salary & Benefits: The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $51,000.00 - $74,000.00.
