Microbial Growth Laboratory Research Assistant

The College of EMS is seeking applicants for a part-time job of Microbial Growth Laboratory Research Assistant for the Department of Geosciences.

Job duties to include:

• Laboratory work involving microorganisms, minerals, and elements.
• Making growth media
• Microscope work as well as other analyses as needed.
• The work will involve design of experiments, incubation of culture samples at appropriate temperatures and light conditions, collection of biomass, and analyses using instruments, as needed.
• Calculations and data analysis also required.

Schedule:

• 20 hrs per week
• June 1st- December 31st

Compensation:

The starting rate for this job is $15/hr.
