The Palmer Museum of Art in the College of Arts and Architecture at Penn State is seeking a detail- and deadline-oriented Marketing and Communications Specialist with excellent interpersonal, creative-thinking, and communications skills to join our imaginative team. This position is a part-time assisting role that mainly works onsite to conceive and execute engagement efforts linked to the social media, digital, and print marketing strategies of the Palmer Museum.
The ideal candidate will have outstanding and proven knowledge of social media management and content creation; photography, videography, and graphic design; writing, editing, and proofreading; as well as project and time management skills. They will create, conceptualize, edit, implement, and enhance various forms of content and communications, including social media posts and reels; marketing collateral; digital and print signage; advertising; website; and other internal and external communications and marketing across the Palmer's staff and diverse audiences. Preferably, the specialist will also have sufficient awareness of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite tools, experience with web design and upkeep, and familiarity with e-mail marketing tools. We hope they will have a passion for the arts, education, and museums.

Minimum Education, Work Experience & Required Certifications
Bachelor's degree in social media, marketing, communications, or related field OR equivalent experience required.
Salary & Benefits
This is a part-time position at 24 hours per week. The salary range for this position is $18-24 per hour.
