Brand Packaging Adaptation Jr Designer

As a Brand Packaging Adaptation Jr Designer, you are responsible for the adaptation of mechanical plans from different brands. You will demonstrate ability to produce creative assets: scaling, cropping, photo retouching and upload images in a variety of formats within tight deadlines and according to global standards with exceptional implementation. Understand our client's marketing and creative design strategy and overall business objectives. You will also engage with internal and external design and cross-functional partners to execute and implement artwork and technical design. You will work daily with files containing prepress specifications such as color separation, color overlay, scaling, image replacement, photo editing, etc., and produce high-quality designs that meet or exceed global industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Extrapolation: From master design files develop any additional sizes in range, ensuring brand integrity during scale up:
  • Ensure hierarchy is maintained across all sizes/flavors. Ensure well applied prepress file specifications.
  • Share artwork with Pre-Media House to ensure printability.
  • Project Management of timelines to hand over to Pre-Media.
  • Knowledge of different printing systems (8-color, flex)
  • Work in execution and implementation audiovisual ideas based on the objectives to be communicated.
  • Product shots for simple key visuals.
  • Simple product shots for banners.
  • Simple Point of Sale visualization.
  • Packaging mock-ups.
  • Assets roll out to different point of sale formats and standards under the control of the stewardship of the Design Center.
  • Key Visual roll out to formats.
  • Key Visual adaptation to different sizes.
  • Ability to build graphic designs when needed.
  • Desirable Understanding in NOM – 050 (execution and knowledge in nutritional label Latam) Text and legal information.
  • For Daily Management: Support brand guarding by following established brand guidelines in all deliverables.
  • Assist in the timely delivery of products and services by tracking tasks and meeting assigned deadlines.
  • Help gather and organize data to support quantitative results and basic commercial understanding.
  • Participate in meetings with internal teams and sometimes with clients.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to understand use cases and contribute to project definitions.
  • Prepare and update project files, ensuring assets and documentation are properly organized.
  • Flag potential risks or delays to the team in a timely manner.
  • Continuously learn processes, tools, and best practices to improve execution quality.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Art & Design, Printing Technology or equivalent.
  • Experience (1+ years) in adaptation of mechanical plans for offset / flexo.
  • Knowledge in color separation, white ink underbase and overprint specifications.
  • 1+ years of experience in preparing output files for standard and large format printing.
  • Understand all major print processes including, but not limited to Offset, Flexography and Digital Printing.
  • Display a knowledge of CMYK Process Printing, Extended Gamut Printing and the use of Special Colors when and where necessary.
  • Manage the artwork approval process, quality check of brief.
  • 1+ years' experience in the packaging and/or graphic arts industry with working experience directly with clients and packaging printers
  • Intermediate English
  • Demonstrable fluency with Adobe CC suite of products, Advanced Photoshop and Illustrator are essential.
  • Knowledge of social aspect ratios and delivery filetypes. An online portfolio showing a variety of standout work is a MUST.
  • Experience with adaptative teams in agency or in-house agency environments; CPG Experience a plus.
  • Highly professional, with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules and work independently with little direction.
