As the Group Product Manager for Computational Design and Automation, you will lead a talented team of product managers to develop the next wave of Computational Design, Automation, and Agentic technologies across our AEC portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, designers, and industry specialists, to establish product vision and strategy, ensuring the integration of advanced workflow automation tools within Autodesk's product suite and industry-specific cloud solutions.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about tackling complex customer challenges, excels in navigating ambiguity, and can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining a clear strategic focus. This position reports to the Director of Computational Design and Automation within the AECO organization, and you will oversee a team of Product Managers. Autodesk offers flexible, hybrid work arrangements, with key home offices in Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Guide and refine product strategy, vision, and roadmap for Computational Design, Automation, and Agentic capabilities in AEC solutions, constantly reacting to new industry demands and evolving company goals.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of product managers, fostering a collaborative and resilient culture that thrives amid continual change. Empower teams to meet ambitious milestones and deliver impactful results with agility.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of end-user Workflow Builder applications in the Computational Design, Automation, and Agentic domains, ensuring these applications integrate seamlessly with Autodesk products to deliver high-value results.
  • Customer Engagement: Partner with customers, partners, and internal teams to create actionable product plans that improve Computational Design, Automation, and Agentic workflows, uncover pain points, and connect experiences across the portfolio.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with research, engineering, design, marketing, and strategy teams to deliver cohesive product experiences and align priorities internally and externally across functions.
  • Market & Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of AI and AEC industry trends, identifying emerging technologies and competitive opportunities to enhance Autodesk's offerings.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate strategy, progress, and outcomes to executive and cross-functional stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in software product management, including at least 3 years in a leadership or group manager role overseeing multiple product managers and/or engineers.
  • Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in delivering commercially viable software solutions. Exhibits sound business judgement regarding the value and risks of artificial intelligence, agentic methodologies, cloud services, and data offerings, especially in settings where ambiguity and change are constant.
  • Deep understanding of AEC industry workflows and the ability to navigate evolving customer needs.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills, with experience fostering collaboration across disciplines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience in large multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and adapt to multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal product management training (e.g., SVPG or equivalent).
  • Experience applying AI technologies in commercial or enterprise software products.
  • Prior professional experience in Architecture or related AEC fields, including understanding of AEC industry workflows.
  • Business degree or equivalent experience in product strategy or management.
  • Awareness of responsible and ethical AI principles.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • You're an exceptional communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into simple, actionable insights.
  • You balance strategic vision with hands-on product management.
  • You build strong cross-functional partnerships and navigate ambiguity and deadlines with confidence.
  • You're passionate about developing teams and helping others succeed.
