Forma Design is evolving beyond interactive exploration toward a platform where knowledge, intent, and repeatable logic can be embedded directly into design workflows. As teams face increasing pressure to move faster, standardize outcomes, and reuse proven solutions, automation becomes a critical capability. Not as isolated scripts or one-off tools, but as a productized framework that allows design intelligence to scale across teams, projects, and organizations.
We are looking for a Product Manager to lead Forma's automation capabilities. The core responsibility of this role is to define and evolve a geometric/parametric automation framework that makes it possible to build, reuse, customize, and distribute automation content. This includes first-party automations, reuse of existing assets such as Revit families, configurable automation content tailored to specific needs, and the foundations for a broader ecosystem where others can contribute and extend automation over time.
You will work as part of a dedicated product team within Forma Design, partnering closely with Engineering and Design in an empowered product triad. Together, you will discover, validate, and deliver automation capabilities that reduce manual work, increase consistency, and allow best practices, standards, and domain knowledge to be embedded directly into design workflows.
You will define and evolve Forma's design automation framework, with a clear focus on enabling customizable, reusable automation content to ensure that customers can explore building layouts faster and with higher precision. This role is about turning design automation into a first-class product capability. Automations are created as reusable, configurable building blocks that can be applied and adapted across different projects and contexts, without requiring users to write code or understand the underlying implementation.
Your work will enable automations that generate, modify, or validate design elements, support reuse of existing assets such as Revit families, and allow manufacturing or system constraints to be embedded into automation content early. Over time, this framework should support an ecosystem where automation content can be created, customized, and extended by both Autodesk and third parties, enabling repetitive design and proven solutions to scale consistently across projects.

This is a chance to make automation a core product capability and use it to raise the baseline of how cities are designed. By enabling design logic, standards, and best practices to be reused and scaled, you help teams deliver higher-quality outcomes more consistently. You will shape a framework that embeds repeatable, customizable workflows directly into design processes, reducing repetitive work and making proven solutions easier to apply across projects, ultimately supporting more efficient, sustainable, and predictable urban development.
