Strategic Platform Product Manager
Autodesk is seeking a strategic Platform Product Manager to lead our internal development platform with a strong focus on enhancing developer productivity across the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This role sits at the intersection of product management, platform engineering, and AI innovation, driving the vision and roadmap for capabilities that enable developers to build, test, deploy, and scale faster.
You'll shape the future of Autodesk's developer experience by integrating cutting-edge AI tools and practices into the platform, reducing toil and unlocking efficiencies across thousands of internal engineers. We offer hybrid contracts, with no minimum office days. You will report to the Director, Product Management.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Autodesk's internal development platform, with a focus on AI-driven productivity improvements
- Translate business and user needs into platform capabilities that reduce friction and enable secure, high-quality software delivery
- Conduct comparative and industry research to ensure our platform is aligned with emerging trends in developer tools and AI
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, UX, and research teams to validate solutions and prioritize impact
- Steer product choices and platform evolution using a lean, data-informed mindset
- Present platform strategy and outcomes to senior management, including CTO and CIO stakeholders
- Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, aligning teams around shared goals and metrics
Minimum Qualifications
- 4–5 years of product management experience, with a strong background in platform or developer productivity tools
- Proven track record delivering platform capabilities for internal engineering teams at Enterprise scale
- Strong familiarity with DevOps tools such as GitHub, CloudBees, Artifactory, Kubernetes, and Dynatrace
- Experienced in integrating or evaluating AI developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable)
- Understanding of cloud-native architectures and distributed systems
- Ability to manage complex cross-org initiatives and communicate with executive audiences

- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, setting priorities, and influencing outcomes

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
