If you're a Game Designer who loves multiplayer, social and competitive games and are passionate about creating games that connect players in new ways, and that grow and evolve with our communities - we encourage you to apply!

As a Game Designer at Haven, you will develop and modify game features that fulfill our game design vision. You will work closely with people from other teams, such as Art, Programming, and World, to design and implement features that will create a successful gameplay experience. You are passionate about game design and able to transmit that passion in the work that you do and your collaborative interaction with people you work with at Haven.

The Game Designer will report to the Producer.

Responsibilities And Tasks

• Design game features that match the creative direction of the game.
• Balance gameplay values to create a fun experience.
• Work with audio, art, engineering, and other designers to create a cohesive experience.
• Test features to ensure they meet the design goals.
• Write design documentation for features and systems.

Qualifications Recherchées

• Solid professional experience as a Game Designer or a related role, with at least one shipped title (PC or Console) preferably a heavily systemic game.
• Experience multiplayer game mode and game structure
• Deep understanding and passion for the principles of game design and mechanics.
• Good methodology and problem solving ability, with a focus on rapid iteration to achieve balance, pacing, and fun.
• Effective collaborator with developers from other disciplines, along with willingness to lead focused multidisciplinary efforts.
• Ability to create high level design documentation and game concepts.

Qualifications Souhaitées

• Live Operations, Multiplayer game development experience.
• Experience with Unreal Engine.
• Knowledge/experience of designing for accessibility.
