Entry Level Interior Designer

An Entry Level Interior Designer is needed for a Construction Company located in Irvine, CA. This is a temporary to hire position paying $25/hr, plus 4% commission on net sale. Hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in drafting design concepts for wine cellars, including space planning, layout, racking systems, lighting, door types, materials & finishes.
• Create interior renderings, and basic sketches and send to CAD team.
• Support senior designers with technical details: dimensions, material selections, lighting fixtures, refrigeration system integration.
• Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure designs are buildable and meet company quality standards.
• Research new materials, finishes, hardware, joinery, and wine-cellar-appropriate lighting and cooling components.
• Visit job sites as needed (within Orange County or nearby) for measurements, site assessments, and to ensure design accuracy.
• Assist in preparing client presentations, proposals, quotations, and revisions.
• Maintain a design library of finishes, samples, door styles, racking styles.
• Ensure all designs adhere to code requirements, client budget, and timelines.
• Learn about wine cellar refrigeration, lighting, and custom racking systems.

Qualifications:

• Degree, diploma, or coursework in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (or currently completing).
• Strong eye for detail, materials, and finishes.
• Good organizational skills and willingness to learn.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Interest in luxury interiors, cabinetry, or specialty spaces a plus.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $25.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
