Q3 Contracting (Q3C), a division of Primoris Services Corporation, is a publicly owned and operated construction contracting company that provides both specific and turnkey services for its customers in the gas, oil, electric and telecommunications industry. We are headquartered in Minnesota, with branch offices in Colorado, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

We are actively hiring a Design Supervisor at our south Denver office in Dove Valley, Colorado. This position will be responsible for providing mentorship and training to new hires, existing designers, and ensure projects meet customer and client expectations.

Ideal Start Date: April 6, 2026

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage and coordinate assigned work volumes
  • Ensure projects meet customer and client expectations
  • Perform job evaluations with assistance from Team Leads
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure that designs conform to standards and that the work adheres to design/construction schedules
  • Provide mentoring and training to new hires and existing designers, using the established Skill Based programs and other training resources.
  • Suggest personnel actions such as terminations, promotions, etc. to the Area Manager for resolution
  • Accurately record employee time, equipment usage, production quantities, job notes and submit the information in the required timeframe
  • Determine the sequence and manner in which work will be carried out, consistent with established customer requirements and internal processes and procedures
  • Communicate any problems/concerns to the Area Manager
  • Actively communicate with Designers, Advocates, Admins and Area Manager as required
  • Actively communicate and handle customer complaints to resolution
  • Communicate and cooperate with Customer representatives, Area Managers, General Manager, Operations, Human Resources and Safety Manager on job details and requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post secondary training in construction or engineering

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to share expertise with others and continually build their knowledge and skills
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and resolve all issues satisfactorily
  • Ability to focus on solving conflict, not blaming
