Presentation Designer

As a Presentation Designer at Proto, you'll help bring our ideas to life through clear, compelling, and visually expressive presentation design. You'll translate strategy and creative thinking into decks, narratives, and visual systems that help our clients and teams see ideas in action. Working closely with engagement managers, brand designers, writers, and strategists, you'll balance craft and storytelling to make complex concepts and frameworks simple, beautiful, and memorable.

You bring a sharp eye for layout, hierarchy, and typography, fluency in Figma and Google Slides, and a collaborative spirit that thrives on feedback and iteration. Whether you're building a pitch deck, designing a client presentation, or visualizing a new system, your work will help shape how ideas are shared and understood.

What You Will Do:

• Design and build presentation materials (primarily in Google Slides and Figma) that communicate ideas with clarity, creativity, and precision;
• Translate strategic frameworks, recommendations, and visual systems into cohesive, Proto presentations across a range of client and internal needs;
• Collaborate closely with engagement managers, strategists, writers, and designers to express ideas visually and conceptually;
• Maintain and evolve design templates, components, and systems to ensure consistency and quality across projects;
• Support senior designers and creative directors on larger brand or presentation initiatives;
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong attention to detail and organization.

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of experience in design, with a focus on presentation, brand, or communication design;
• A portfolio that demonstrates strong visual design skills, clarity in communication, and an eye for storytelling;
• Comfort working collaboratively and iteratively within a fast-paced creative environment;
• Proficiency in Google Slides for presentation design and overall collaboration tools like Figma, Google Suite (Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus), and Slack required, as well as a willingness to explore new tools and technologies.

In New York City, the base salary for this position is $80-105K. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, years of relevant experience, level of responsibility and qualifications. This position reports to our Senior Director, Design.

Proto is a New York based company with offices at 3 World Trade. Our staff is encouraged to work-from-office on days of their choosing based on personal preferences, collaboration moments, client meetings, and all-company gatherings. We also support workplace flexibility and have made work-from-anywhere available to all staff (within a 3-hour time zone of eastern standard time zone). Our core business hours are generally 9:30am-6:00pm EST; however, due to our client service model and collaborative working culture, individual working hours fluctuate to reflect client deadlines and deliverables.
