Job Description & Summary

This job profile outlines the role and expectations for a Product Owner focused on collaboration tools within the Business Services line of service. The position emphasizes managing product backlogs, translating technical features into business value, and cross-functional collaboration to support tool development and compliance.

The Product Owner documents new features and service offerings in tools like Microsoft Teams, Copilot, and Viva, communicates updates to stakeholders, manages product backlogs, collaborates with engineering and project teams, and supports risk and compliance assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document new features and service offerings in collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Copilot, and Viva. Communicate feature and product updates to stakeholders.
  • Translate technical features into business value and ensure tools meet business needs.
  • Manage and prioritize product backlogs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, change management, and project teams to deliver results.
  • Support risk assessment and compliance for supported tools.

Requirements of the Role

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems Analysis, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, or Management Information Systems.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Viva Engage, and Copilot.
  • Experience with product documentation and service communications, including drafting feature updates and internal enablement materials.
  • Strong process thinking and detail orientation, with a mindset for continuous improvement and user-centric design.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and articulate the business value of features and user stories.
  • Ability to work across distributed teams, including engineering, architecture, and operations, and navigate global territory nuances.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder engagement, including gathering feedback, managing priorities, and communicating progress. Ability to build trust with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, especially Scrum and SAFe, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and PI planning.
  • Comfort with change management and compliance frameworks, especially ITIL in global environments.
  • Understanding lean IT principles and data-driven approaches.
