Instructional Designer

The Instructional Designer role focuses on translating business and educational needs into engaging, effective, and high-quality learning solutions aligned with the company's strategy and quality standards. As part of the team, you will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, business stakeholders, and operational teams to design modern and scalable learning paths delivered through both classroom and digital formats.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing end-to-end learning journeys (blended learning, classroom training, digital learning, social learning, and learning on the job) based on learning principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g. ADDIE)
  • Defining learning objectives and creating storyboards and instructional concepts that transform complex content into clear, engaging, and positive learner experiences
  • Designing and developing classroom training as well as modern e-learning formats
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and internal stakeholders to analyze training needs and select optimal learning solutions
  • Advising on instructional methods, training formats, and digital learning tools
  • Coordinating training projects, including schedule management and cooperation with SMEs and stakeholders
  • Ensuring a high-quality learner experience with a strong focus on usability and real training impact
  • Testing, evaluating, and continuously improving learning solutions based on feedback and data
  • Preparing training and project documentation
  • Ensuring compliance of training solutions with internal guidelines and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in instructional design, training development, or digital learning
  • Experience gained in a corporate environment or professional services organizations
  • Education in instructional design, learning sciences, educational technology, psychology, pedagogy, multimedia design, or a related field will be an asset
  • Very good knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories
  • Proven experience in designing classroom training; experience in e-learning design is an additional advantage
  • Very good knowledge of tools (especially Articulate) and LMS/LXP platforms
  • Experience in managing training projects and working with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Creativity, a strong sense of learner experience, and storytelling skills
  • Very good command of English; German language skills will be a strong asset
