Product Performance Specialist

As a member of the Customer Engineering team and being the program's "Product Performance Engineer/Specialist & India Team Coordinator", you will be responsible of managing in-service product performance and all related dependability processes, the relationship with the India-based dependability management team and own the associated performance indexes (KPIs).

Part of a team of experts, you will have the opportunity to contribute, and lead integrated product teams (IPTs) and influence the redesign of parts which could affect the safety, reliability, maintainability and availability of a product or the cost of operation. You will be expected to grow into the subject matter expert and be the coach of the Canadian and Indian teams for dependability metrics and management.

  • Lead Product Dependability activities for the program including trend monitoring, identifying reliability drivers, and driving PMT actions.
  • Ownership of Product Performance - including safety, reliability, availability and all services in relation with maintenance of the product in service
  • Lead and/or coordinate & advocate reliability study, screen team, SDR, accident review, quarterly reliability review, SMS and executive product performance.
  • Accountable for India team performance and relationship optimization
  • Subject matter expert for the Product Dependability processes and KPIs
  • Support the Customer engineering team in preparation to customer & OEM visits
  • Some travel may be required

This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.

Must haves:

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Looking for 5-10 years progressive experience in Aerospace, Aftermarket, Operations, or similar functional expertise

Assets:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and drive customer satisfaction at all levels (internal and/or external)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated ability to manage product performance and delivery to drive customer satisfaction
  • Ability to translate technical data into action plans and strategy
  • Advanced knowledge of Power BI / ENOVIA / SAP / Data Mining
  • Strong knowledge of gas turbine engines
  • Ability to understand FMEA, ie, understand impact of component failure at engine or aircraft (system) level
  • Good understanding of how corrective actions are implemented
  • Familiar with SMS and risk assessment methodologies
