We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Product Operations Manager - Connected Factory to build and scale the operating model that enables real-time manufacturing systems and advanced digital capabilities to deliver measurable business and operational value. This role drives alignment across Product, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, IT/OT, Analytics, and Automation, ensuring digital systems move efficiently from concept to enterprise-scale deployment.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, systems-oriented leader who owns the "how" of digital execution; from baseline data and modeling standards to real-time performance integration and closed-loop optimization ensuring solutions are scalable, operationally grounded, and value-driven.

Responsibilities:

1. Define and Deploy Connected Factory Digital Systems

Establish and maintain the RTX operating model for Connected Factory digital systems, including planning, prioritization, governance, and performance tracking

  • Define standards for data readiness, system integration, and operational metrics to support scalable and repeatable deployments
  • Enable digital system capabilities that support real-time visibility, scenario analysis, and digital twin–based decision support
  • Partner with leadership to translate business and factory needs into executable, value-driven digital initiatives aligned with RTX digital transformation initiative.

2. Enable Execution Across Product, Engineering, and Operations

Coordinate execution across Product, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, IT/OT, Automation, and Analytics teams

  • Provide structure and cadence for large, cross-functional initiatives, including scope alignment, dependency management, and execution planning
  • Ensure consistent communication, decision-making, and accountability across teams and factory sites
  • Support pilot-to-scale execution by establishing repeatable delivery and handoff practices

3. Drive Performance, Adoption, and Continuous Improvement

Use operational and system performance data to track adoption, outcomes, and realized business value

  • Identify gaps in system performance, data quality, or operational usage and drive corrective actions
  • Feed insights and learnings back into system baselines, roadmaps, and execution plans
  • Continuously improve predictability, efficiency, and effectiveness of Connected Factory digital capabilities

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Operations, or a related field and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or
  • An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • Demonstrated experience supporting agile product development, including backlog management, roadmap planning, and iterative delivery in cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of product and business modeling, including the ability to develop business cases, value hypotheses, and cost/benefit analyses to support prioritization and investment decisions
  • Experience operating at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Operations, translating business and manufacturing needs into executable digital initiatives
  • Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders without direct authority across complex organizations
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to drive clarity in ambiguous environments
  • Ability to align product execution with enterprise digital strategies, including alignment to broader RTX digital solutions and platforms

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in project or program management for large, cross-functional initiatives, including schedule, dependency, and risk management
  • Experience with Connected Factory or manufacturing digital platforms, including exposure to real-time data systems or industrial analytics
  • Familiarity with Ignition or similar industrial data integration / visualization platforms
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices
  • Experience working with cloud-based platforms and solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Exposure to modern web application development, including experience with React or similar frameworks
  • Experience supporting pilot-to-scale digital transformations in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Experience working with digital systems and digital twin concepts, including translating operational needs into scalable models, data requirements, and system capabilities
