The Athletes Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and coordinating a long-term, innovative, and modern marketing program around Red Bull athletes. They are in charge of selecting and managing the national portfolio of athletes collaborating with the Red Bull brand. They ensure the highest level of sports quality, fit for local needs, and utilize global Red Bull athletes in national marketing activities.
Strategic and Operational Responsibility for the National Competitive Program for the Red Bull Brand:
- Developing a long-term program of cooperation with athletes that will allow the creation of a full national competitive portfolio.
- Analyzing the sports and marketing potential of athletes to optimize the local portfolio. Selection, negotiations, support, and management of Red Bull athletes based on clearly defined goals and established methods of controlling goal fulfillment.
- Using the global portfolio of athletes collaborating with the brand in local activities.
- Maximizing the impact of the international set of Red Bull events through the support of local athletes' participation in them.
- Regularly analyzing key sports environments to find new talents. Seeking creativity, unconventional solutions, exploring new sports environments and disciplines.
- Mobilizing national athletes to develop specific competitive projects and initiatives in cooperation with Red Bull or on their own.
External Environment and Communication:
- Establishing and maintaining contacts with sports experts, institutions for cooperation with athletes, coaches, clubs, sports associations, sports influencers, to gather and update knowledge, insights on the sports marketing and scouting market.
- Establishing contacts with leading athletes in the country and abroad.
- Cooperation with the company's headquarters to obtain the latest information on best practices and knowledge.
Branding and Tools:
- Ensuring the proper selection of branding solutions and the realization of branding visibility goals for individual athletes.
- Support for individual athletes by establishing an optimal individual package consisting of marketing activities (tools, remuneration, premium, etc.), communication activities, and sports achievements. Developing the best professional relationships with each athlete.
Budget, Business Plan, and Legal Issues:
- Realistic planning and control of the Athletes Marketing department budget.
- Active participation in the process of creating new projects, seeking and introducing innovations in the field of sports marketing.
- Preparing crisis plans for projects. Flexible response to changing market conditions.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the field of sports marketing.
- Understanding and knowledge of the sports and event environment in the country. Engagement in sports topics, in a wide range of disciplines. Well-known representatives of the sports environment.
- Good communication and negotiation skills. Openness to people.
- Ability to cope under time pressure.
- Experience in conducting activation and event projects in the sports area.
- Experience in managing teams of people.
- Fluent English.
