Product Manager

The Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Platforms team is looking for a Product Manager to collaborate across a diverse set of stakeholders from engineering to customers and product management, supporting product development for Red Hat OpenShift.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with engineering teams and a broad set of stakeholders to design, develop, and enhance software programs in solving complex problems
• Collect and document input from Red Hat OpenShift users, customers, community members, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs and requirements
• Partner with engineering and other product management and customer-facing teams across the company
• Research competitive solutions, both commercial and do-it-yourself alternatives, documenting their relative strengths and weaknesses to develop competitive solutions; collect input for new releases
• Prioritize and document requirements, epics, and user stories for new releases of our offerings
• Coordinate with your peers globally to ensure collaboration and consistency with content tasks

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Business Management or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Adaptability and solid problem-solving skills
• Understanding of open source behaviors and industry trends
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines when necessary
• Familiar with Google Workspace, e.g., Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive
• Experience with the Agile development process
• Experience (internship experience is acceptable) in enterprise software industry in a product management, engineering, or a similar technical product development role
• Development skills in or experience with Java, Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby, or similar
• Exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or similar cloud or application management solutions
• Basic Linux skills required
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English

The following is considered a plus:

• Knowledge of container management technologies like Kubernetes
• Knowledge of distributed, scalable, high-performance web applications
• Experience in the Managed Services or Service Provider industries
• Experience with open source technologies and business models
• Experience working in teams distributed around the world

The salary range for this position is $94,550.00 - $151,170.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
