Internship / Student Full-time Master Degree First experience Professional, Engineer & Manager
In the context of engine pre-projects, we aim to define a sizing law for the cooling circuits of CoHP discs based on all geometric parameters that govern this air circuit. To do this, it is planned to carry out several parameterized CFD studies by varying certain key parameters, then derive a response surface and design rules, either from an air flow capacity or cooling capacity point of view. This will greatly assist our ongoing and future designs. Additionally, ancillary ventilation and thermal studies, opening up to other issues (housing design, sealing, tool improvement) are envisaged depending on the progress of the internship.
With a level of BAC+4 or BAC+5, you are on a break or in your final year of a general or specialized engineering school in thermal transfers. You have a good knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermal transfers. Technical knowledge in aeronautical motorization is a plus. You are autonomous, methodical, curious and creative with a strong interest in technology. You have a good ability to adapt in a multi-project and multidisciplinary team. You have notions of CFD modeling.
Within the "Thermal Fluid and Aggressions" department of the dedicated propulsion system integration direction, the intern will need to: - Gain competence in numerical fluid mechanics within the scope of NS2D/3D modeling. - Model academic cases from scientific literature and tests to evaluate this method - Test different modeling hypotheses and identify the best compromise between restitution time and accuracy of results - Compare the obtained results with those already available for other numerical simulation methods - Have a critical mind to interpret the results in the face of experimental data - Present the results of the modeling to a committee of engineers and experts
