Description of the Position

Are you an expert in 3D modeling for textile products? Do you have a passion for technical clothing?

Our Apparel Design team is looking for its next member: Designer 3D Apparel (M/F)!

Your main missions:

• Mastery of the assembly of 3D clothing patterns, from existing patterns or technical drawings from the designer.
• Design and modeling of components of finished products (e.g., finishes, accessories) with a strong understanding of 3D polygonal modeling.
• Creation of high-quality 3D visualizations to communicate creative concepts and product designs at each stage of development.
• Research and development of realistic textures and materials for clothing and accessories using tools like Substance and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of prompt design and the use of tools and techniques of artificial intelligence to improve the design workflow.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies in 3D and AI to keep Salomon at the forefront of design innovation.
• Organize and conduct 3D training sessions for designers and modelers to strengthen the team's capabilities.
• Collaborate with modelers to understand both traditional and digital pattern techniques, integrating them into the 3D process.

Qualifications

Required skills:

• Knowledge of technical clothing.
• Sensitivity/appreciation for color, material, and finishes of a product. We are looking for a 3D designer who has the sense of detail and the art of sublimating a product for its finishes.
• Knowledge of the outdoor market, performance, and sportstyle.
• Art 3D culture.
• Foreign languages: Mastery of English.
• Computer skills/IT:
• Mastery of Microsoft Office.
• 3D modeling tools including Clo3D.
• Artificial intelligence, prompt design.
• Blender (Cinema 4D, 3ds Max is a plus).

Qualifications:

• Innovation: Use the latest tools and trends to improve our offering and design processes.
• Communication: Ability to offer 3D training to teammates.
• Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with different departments/professions (Designer, modeler, product manager, etc.)
