Description of the Position

Do you want to actively participate in the development of a product line, from its conception to its launch on the market?

Are you motivated to analyze product performance and trends to influence real strategic decisions?

We are looking for a motivated and rigorous intern to support our Product Line & Merchandising Manager in managing the product life cycle and maintaining a high level of performance in retail as well as coordinating samples.

Your product category will be that of SMU shoes (Special Make-Up: models specifically developed for key accounts, marketing campaigns, etc.).

This internship offers a dynamic learning environment with direct exposure to international product and merchandising strategies in the sports industry.

Your main missions will be:

  • Participate in the development and optimization of product line strategies, from launch to end of life;
  • Contribute to the analysis of product performance, stock levels, and market trends;
  • Help prepare detailed reports, business reviews, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders;
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Product Development;
  • Participate in the preparation and management of meetings, product information, visual aids, and follow-up on samples;
  • Monitor competitor activity and trends to guide product and merchandising decisions;
  • Collect and synthesize customer and market feedback to support continuous product and service improvement;

Sample management:

  • Ensure the integrity of samples and the accuracy of their labeling;
  • Validate product visuals for supports and platforms;
  • Organize shipments to internal teams and external partners;
  • Ensure the timely return of samples and update information;
  • Provide administrative and operational support on ongoing projects.

Qualifications

  • Education: Enrolled in a program in commerce, marketing, merchandising, product management, or a similar field.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of databases or PIM (Product Information Management) systems is a plus. Experience with Power BI is also an advantage.
  • Languages: Fluency in English; knowledge of French is an asset.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Very organized, rigorous, and capable of managing multiple deadlines simultaneously;
    • Interest in sports retail, product life cycle management, and visual merchandising;
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

Internship, based in Annecy (74), FRANCE. Apprenticeship or professionalization contract mandatory. Desired start: September 2026. Duration: 12 months (renewable).
