About the job

The APAC Marketing team is looking for a Marketing Director based in Japan to lead our growth strategy in one of our most strategic markets.

In this role, you will translate global and regional industry priorities into market-relevant, high-impact marketing strategies, driving demand generation, pipeline growth, revenue acceleration, and strategic account engagement. You will lead and inspire a diverse team of marketers at the forefront of Data & AI innovation, shaping how we connect with customers and bring our solutions to market in Japan.

As a Marketing Director, you will:

  • Direct the development of company marketing programs and services for key industries focusing on Japan and other markets within APAC region.
  • Lead and execute integrated, high-impact marketing strategy aligned to business growth objectives for key industry sectors, with a focus on elevating brand reputation, driving revenue growth and strengthening relationships with customers and partners.
  • Identify marketing opportunities through market research, customer feedback, analytics and best practices
  • Responsible for leadership in one or more of the following marketing functions: Go-To-Market Marketing, Digital, Analyst Relations, Market Research, Product Marketing, Pricing, Campaign and Events, Customer References, Marketing Contact Center, Social Media, or Corporate Creative
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Advisory, Customer Success, Consulting, HR etc. and global marketing teams.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with agencies, partners, and vendors
  • Create shared visions and detailed plans with key stakeholders on how to maximize a given marketing function
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing marketing team
  • Oversee budget planning, resource allocation, and delivery excellence across all programmes
  • Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

Required qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in integrated B2B Marketing, preferably in the software or technology industry, including 5+ years of leadership experience with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong people and business leadership skills with a focus on collaboration and building value-based business partnerships across functions and regional/global stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience from strategy through execution of digital-driven integrated marketing mix, blending online and offline activities into a dynamic revenue-focused set of programs, combined with sound knowledge of integrated marketing and digital marketing principles.
  • In-depth understanding of enterprise buying cycle and influencing factors, B2B sales techniques, channels, business partner relationship development strategies, and/or knowledge of a specific industry, market, technology, or relevant business initiative.
  • Commercial savvy with the ability to connect marketing programs to revenue and business outcomes
  • Experience collaborating effectively within a global, matrixed organisation and influencing across functions and levels.
  • Business-level fluency in Japanese and English, with strong communication and presentation skills, including public speaking (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
