Electrical Designer
Selectek is looking for an Electrical Designer who's excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our client's business. You'll contribute to the design of cutting-edge facilities such as semiconductor manufacturing plants, data centers, and other high-tech environments — working within a vibrant, collaborative team that delivers world-class results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform computer-aided drafting and design (AutoCAD and Revit MEP) for Life Safety and Security Systems.
- Develop 3D BIM models in coordination with architects and multi-discipline engineers.
- Design and layout Security Surveillance, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection Systems.
- Apply NFPA, ICC, and Life Safety codes to designs and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Specify and document equipment selections per engineering direction.
- Support the delivery of complex system packages and assist with coordination across disciplines.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of AutoCAD experience (Revit experience preferred).
- Systems design experience with Security Surveillance, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection Systems.
- NICET Security certification.
- ASIS International Advanced Security Worldwide certification.
- Manufacturer's equipment certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of Life Safety or Security Systems design experience.
- Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code.
- Familiarity with a range of security systems and manufacturer-specific equipment.
- Experience with industrial or mission-critical facility design.
Pay: $43.27/hr. - $60.09/hr.
