Electrical Designer

Selectek is currently seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join their clients' team and contribute to a range of challenging and rewarding projects, including healthcare, senior living, and multi-family residential buildings. Responsibilities:

• Design interior and exterior lighting layouts, including fixture specification and control systems to meet code compliance and energy efficiency goals.
• Perform exterior photometric analysis for community and municipal approvals.
• Prepare normal and emergency power distribution drawings, panel schedules, and riser diagrams.
• Coordinate low-voltage systems such as fire alarm, access control, communications, IT/data, security, nurse/help call, and audio-visual systems.
• Conduct system analysis for fault current and selective coordination.
• Support the municipal and health department plan review and permitting process as needed.
• Collaborate with contractors and field personnel during construction for submittal reviews, field observations, and issue resolution.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical design for low voltage building systems.
• Proficiency with Revit and CAD for drawing production.
• Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and model energy codes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• EIT or PE certification for candidates with an engineering degree.
• Experience working on healthcare or multi-family residential projects.

Pay Rate:

$31.25 /hr. - $43.27/hr.
