Omnichannel Product Manager (Onsite)

Location: Linthicum, MD

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description

The Omnichannel Product Manager is responsible for defining the product vision, strategy and roadmap for products that integrate multiple customer channels in line with Business Product Owner's expectations. Performs day-to-day management of the portfolio in line with the Product Increment / Platform roadmap and program manages below activities overseeing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Take end-to-end ownership of product owner and maintain the product backlog, prioritizing features and creating detailed product requirements, user stories, and specifications for development teams.
  • Acts as a facilitator between a State agency and IT contractor. Is responsible for ensuring that work performed under TOs is within scope, consistent with requirements, and delivered on time and on budget. Identifies critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, and acceptance criteria.
  • Manages issue tracking, SLA monitoring, risk and mitigation plans.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders on platform-specific technical documentation including SOW.
  • Facilitate scrum management including pre-program and post-program increment planning sessions.
  • Coordinate the execution of all program level processes and the preparation and execution of Release Planning Events.
  • Review project plans with PMs and make recommendations or provide feedback based on the needs of the program.
  • Facilitate program continuous improvement activities to include Inspect and adapt workshops.
  • Take ownership for overseeing the agile release team and ensuring alignment with Scrum Master(s) to provide estimation by release team(s) for program visibility.
  • Share, promote and communicate agile best practices, concepts and values while mentoring and motivating enterprise teams.
  • Drive the execution of the program releases across collaborative and cross-functional teams.
  • Identifying issues and risks and recommending possible issue and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitating State agency and Contractor discussions / meetings.
  • Ensuring that performance is within scope, consistent with requirements, and delivered on time and within budget.
  • Identifying critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, and acceptance criteria.
  • Forming the strategy and roadmap for operating systems platform and architecture.
  • Monitor and maintain records of system performance and capacity to arrange vendor services or other actions for reconfiguration and anticipate requirements for system expansion.
  • Coordinate portfolio's software procurement and renewals on time.
  • Demonstrates a broad understanding of client IT environmental issues and solutions.
  • Must demonstrate excellence in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in project financials, cost estimations, validations.
  • Validates performance health metrics, proactively alerts stakeholders on potential issues. and Monitor that necessary system backups are performed, and storage and rotation of backups is accomplished

Education

  • This position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related scientific or technical discipline. (Note: A Master's degree and Salesforce certification is preferred).

General Experience

  • The proposed candidate must have at least ten (10) years of experience planning, designing, building, and implementing IT application systems.
  • This individual must have led or been part of major IT applications implementation efforts.
  • This individual must also have a strong background in software engineering principles and techniques.

Specialized Experience

  • The proposed candidate must have at least six (6) years of experience in program managing medium to large-scale Omnichannel solutions involving IVR, Telephony, Chatbot, CRM applications specifically in the Salesforce platform.
