Communication Manager

We are seeking for a highly self-motivated and talented communication manager to initiate, coordinate and implement our annual communication plan. The candidate will work under the supervision of Public Affairs & Communication Manager of Sherwin APAC, to jointly develop and implement local communication strategy, to support the enhancement of Sherwin's brand and reputation in the region.

To be successful the candidate will need to proactively identify and develop stakeholder networks, localize and tailor-made Sherwin group messages. You will be producing high-quality content that engage key stakeholders including employee, media, customers and clients.

Core Responsibilities:

• Communication Strategy Implement: Implement effective communication strategies that raise Sherwin's brand awareness and reputation in APAC.
• Media Relations:
  • Act as the primary media contact for all corporate inquiries.
  • Proactively pitch corporate stories, executive thought leadership, and company milestones to secure positive media coverage.
  • Prepare senior executives for media interviews and speaking engagements.
• Corporate Events:
  • Develop and manage end-to-end event planning process for a portfolio of events, including exhibitions, webinars, internal meetings, and other corporate hospitality events, etc.
  • Source, negotiate with, and manage external vendors to ensure high-quality service and value.
  • Managing budgets effectively to prevent overspending.
• Social Media:
  • Create and manage high-quality, engaging, and platform-specific content (e.g., text, images, video, stories) for Wechat, Rednote, Douyin, Weibo, Linkedin, etc.
  • Manage the content calendar, ensuring a steady and strategic flow of posts.
  • Collaborate with the BU marketing teams to produce compelling content/visual assets.
• Website:
  • Serve as the primary regional contact for Asia PCG gateway page and future Corporate website localization.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Cleveland website team and 6 Asia Business Units (BUs) to ensure alignment and support for their respective websites.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications

Education Background Requirements:

• Required: Bachelor's degree
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree with major in marketing, journalism or communications from a renowned university

Knowledge & Experience:

• Required: >5 years of work experience in marketing communications
• Preferred: >10 years of work experience in marketing communications within a multinational B2B environment (coating industry highly preferred).

Technical/Skill Requirements:

• Required: Good command of both Chinese and English languages, adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, detail oriented.
• Preferred: Exceptional writing & editing skills, strong project management experience, detail and result oriented, media savvy with crisis management experience.
