This department will be responsible for portfolio prioritization to drive strategic initiatives and cross-platform activities by leading the centralized team of business analysts, product designers, product strategists, etc.
Job duties include managing business operations, working with budget teams to monitor project budgets, managing projects across various workstreams, conducting daily, weekly, and monthly task updates with team members, and preparing project status materials for governance meetings. The role also involves overseeing budget plans, monitoring capex, organizing internal team meetings, managing department information systems, managing department communication channels, managing Rakuten Group/Rakuten Mobile information systems/security policies, managing all external meeting and document requirements, managing relationships with vendors, overseeing product roadmaps, understanding development lifecycle of applications, managing team of developers, release management, change management, sprint cycles, and managing client expectations.
Minimum qualifications include 5-10 years of experience working within business analysis or project delivery or support, planning and management, 1-2 years of experience managing small teams, experience with general business operations, general understanding of financial accounting, ability to manage business and technical stakeholders, excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills, ability to approach tasks in a logical and systematic way, ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language, excellent written and verbal communications skills, experience working with Agile project management and collaboration tools, experience working with teams of BAs and engineers, and a collaborative and team-focused attitude. Commercial awareness, always operates with the highest levels of honesty, integrity and fidelity, acting in the best interest of the business always, strong capability for up-skilling and re-skilling, with a curious mind and desire to constantly learn and grow, ability to manage a meeting, to report and sum-up notes, ability to work independently and to take decisions, ability to coordinate and monitor the projects within the products, ability to conduct issue solving to the end, and escalate when needed, capability to quickly react to emergency situations to resolve it.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Business or any equivalent field, MBA preferable, PHD preferable, and industry project management qualification.
