Your Role

At DDIT R&D, we are seeking a seasoned Software Product Manager responsible for maximizing the value of our Data & AI products by effectively managing the product backlog and ensuring the development team delivers features that meet business needs. This role serves as the crucial link between business stakeholders and the software engineering team, focusing on translating requirements into actionable user stories and driving efficient product execution. While product strategy is co-owned with the business owner, the Product Manager excels at turning strategic direction into tangible product increments through hands-on collaboration with engineers.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will champion a product mindset and focus on business value throughout the organization, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices related to data analysis, ML, especially FMs, will be vital in enhancing the effectiveness of the product. You will report to the Head of Product Management in the Healthcare Digital, Data & IT organization.

You will join a multicultural team working in various methodologies. This role can be remote in Spain or our office onsite in Barcelona. Infrequent travel to Darmstadt might be required. This role will report to the Head of Product Management in the Healthcare Digital, Data & IT organization.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

• Define and prioritize the product backlog items based on business value, urgency, and available resources, while ensuring timely delivery of the product roadmap.
• Continuously gather feedback from end users and regularly communicate product updates across the organization.
• Driving the business stakeholder management and align between different parts of the R&D organization, managing expectations of business stakeholder.
• Identify, collect and manage use cases that are run on our agentic AI platform. Support or drive impact analysis of the respective use cases.
• Engage in testing to validate the product's functionality, usability, and performance.
• Proactively identify potential risks or roadblocks and propose mitigating strategies to ensure successful roadmap delivery
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices related to Data and AI, especially LLMs.
• Work closely with software engineers, defining a setup that is removing impediments to progress

Who You Are

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Natural Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years professional experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager or in a similar role, preferably focusing on the development of enterprise data and AI products and use case management.
• Ability to strategize for long-term product success and devise clear and actionable product roadmaps to align with the company's strategic goals and user needs.
• Strong conceptual understanding of agentic AI and cloud technologies, as well as e data and AI ecosystem, data flows and architectures.
• Prior experience in Healthcare and familiarity with medical vocabulary is a plus, experience with unstructured data in the Healthcare context is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in managing backlog items, sprint planning, and sprint reviews is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and results-driven approach.
• Organized and structured way of working, fast learner, ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks.
• Strong ownership mindset and the ability to lead in a complex matrix organization.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences R&D domain is very beneficial.
• Fluency in English.
