Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
· Create and revise protection/control drawings of high voltage transmission and distribution substations and lines, including:
o Single line, logic, three line and schematic diagrams.
o Panel layouts, wiring diagrams and device developments.
o Cable block diagrams and cable terminations.
· Peer review of other's drawings.
· Maintain drawing files – archived, current and working revisions.
· Update drawings to field as-built conditions.
· Provide project support/office support as required.
· Occasional travel to field sites or working at a client's office may be required.

Educational Requirements:
· Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology preferred, but not required.
Experience & Training Requirements:
· 5+ Years' Experience in Design of Transmission Level Substations (13.8kV – 500 kV) including:
o Electrical one-lines, schematics and wiring diagrams
o Low voltage auxiliary power systems (AC and DC station power)
o Cable and conduit schedules
o Protective Relay and Control Panel layouts and designs
· Familiarity with microprocessor relays and associated options/functionality – SEL, GE, etc.
· Good written and verbal communications skills
· Ability to work well with others in a team setting
· Skilled in problem solving in time-sensitive situations
Computer Skills:
· Demonstrated experience in the following software programs:
o AutoCAD (2015 or later) – Advanced, required
o MicroStation – Advanced/Intermediate, preferred
o Microsoft Word – Intermediate
o Microsoft Excel – Intermediate
o Microsoft Outlook – Intermediate
Travel Requirements:
· Project Engineers' travel level is typically 10%.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift / move equipment up to 15 lbs.
