Chemical Product Assistant (Manufacturing Tech 1)

Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

Training: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (2–3 months)

$21/hour + 7% shift differential

Position Summary

The Chemical Product Assistant (Manufacturing Tech 1) is responsible for manufacturing products according to established protocols while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This position involves operating and maintaining production equipment, troubleshooting assembly line processes, and supporting packaging and cleanroom operations.

Note: This is not a warehouse role.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain processing equipment, including:
• COP (Clean Out of Place)
• CIP (Clean In Place)
• Kaps All Torquer
• Label Line
• CIP Bag Fill Line
• Perform production operations such as:
• Bottle pass-through to Class 100 clean room
• Hand torque and torque testing
• Application of pinch clamps
• Packaging of bags/bottles
• Conduct routine and monthly phenolic cleaning of rooms and equipment
• Clean and maintain materials, parts, and small equipment manually
• Dispose of waste safely and according to company standards
• Execute batch records in SAP (eBR) and ensure accurate documentation
• Communicate status of production operations, equipment, and deviations to supervisors
• Maintain all required logbooks in compliance with procedures
• Follow production procedures and safety policies at all times
• Properly use, clean, and store PPE (respirators, protective gear, steel-toed shoes)
• Keep work areas organized, safe, and compliant with housekeeping standards

Basic Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Skills:
• SAP experience (required)
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
• Interpersonal and organizational skills
• Punctual and dependable

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a physical exam and be clean-shaven (due to respirator use)
• Steel-toed shoes required
• Experience with pallet jacks and basic material handling
• Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable wearing PPE, including respirators, for extended periods
• Ability to work occasional extended or varied shift schedules (8/10/12 hour day/night)

Work Environment

This role is based in a production environment with exposure to chemicals and substances requiring personal protective equipment. Interviews will be conducted onsite.
