Your Opportunity

You will undertake tasks under the mentorship of a Senior Designer or Architect. While licensure is not mandatory, it is anticipated to be among your short-term objectives. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Keeping the project manager updated on progress, expectations, deadlines, and deliverables within your responsibilities.
  • Participating in team meetings, charrettes, and coordination sessions.
  • Assisting in monitoring and coordinating internal team and external consultant work and deadlines.
  • Supporting project teams in developing designs through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats.
  • Developing design concepts, renderings, and presentation drawings.
  • Utilizing Autodesk Revit and other BIM technologies to create three-dimensional models of buildings and their components.
  • Preparing and revising documentation across various architectural phases, including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, and details.
  • Coordinating building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure they align with the design intent.
  • Assisting with contract administration tasks.
  • Attending project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
  • Implementing sustainable design principles into building designs and the surrounding environment.
  • Conducting site analysis and research concepts, benchmarks, typologies, and precedents.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

You should be able to support multiple Project Managers across various projects simultaneously. You possess a general understanding of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, methods, materials, and industry standards. You are comfortable working independently and taking direction, while proactively taking appropriate actions without constant supervision. You manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively. You are a collaborative team player with clients, project teams, and contractors. You are a strong communicator. You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, InDesign, and Photoshop; experience with Lumion, SketchUp, and Newforma is preferred.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture. 3-7 years of relevant experience. LEED Green Associate or LEED AP certification preferred.

This role typically involves working in an office environment, using computers, and remaining sedentary for extended periods. Depending on the assignment, remote work may be an option for up to two days per week.

Pay Range

Locations in MN, OH, VT, & Various CA, NY Areas - Min Salary $ 60,700.00 - Max Salary $ 85,000.00 Locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP) - Min Salary $ 76,500.00 - Max Salary $ 107,100.00
