Assist with production of design plans and engineering specifications for water resources infrastructure projects. Support watermain design, storm water management, and water and wastewater treatment facility design projects. Perform design tasks including writing specifications and technical reports. Perform hydraulic and hydrologic analyses and modeling. Coordinate with product vendors to ensure proper products are selected for civil infrastructure projects. Coordinate with CAD technicians and project managers to ensure submittals meet deadlines. Participate in construction inspections, site visits and in-person design meetings to ensure project is constructed per plans and specifications. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days a week.
Requirements: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience. Employer will accept a three or four-year Bachelor's degree. Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience with the following: Water and wastewater infrastructure design; AutoCAD, including Civil 3D; Performing structural and civil analysis for civil and conveyance projects; Performing structural calculations to ensure drainage structures are designed to overcome buoyancy forces; and Conducting construction site inspections for infrastructure projects.
