Junior Electrical BIM Modeller

Role Overview: The Junior Electrical BIM Modeller supports the design and documentation of electrical systems in building projects by developing and maintaining Building Information Models (BIM). This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to build expertise in BIM and electrical building services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in creating and updating 3D BIM models for electrical systems (lighting, power, fire alarms, etc.) using Revit, AutoCAD MEP, or similar software.
2. Incorporate markups and design changes as directed by senior modellers or engineers.
3. Ensure models are accurate and comply with project requirements.
4. Generate basic drawings, layouts, and schedules from BIM models under supervision.
5. Help prepare documentation for design reviews and construction.
6. Collaborate with other team members (architectural, structural, and MEP) to integrate electrical models.
7. Participate in coordination meetings and learn to identify and resolve basic design clashes.
8. Follow established BIM standards and protocols.
9. Assist in model checks and reviews to maintain quality and consistency.
10. Attend training sessions and actively seek to improve BIM skills and understanding of electrical systems.
11. Stay updated with the latest BIM tools and industry practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD MEP).
• Understanding of electrical systems in building services (preferred but not mandatory).
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
