Join a top 10 global design firm in our Texas buildings practice that provides Interior Design, Architecture, and Buildings Engineering services. Our Houston, Texas office is seeking a mid-level Interior Design professional to join our interdisciplinary team. The primary role of the Mid-level Interior Designer is to interpret and translate the needs and desires of a client as well as any architectural direction set forth into a cohesive interior design solution with moderate guidance and supervision. This process may involve the production of drawings (2D/3D), and written material to support the conceptual direction of interior design and FFE. This individual may be required to present their ideas in formal and informal settings with a willingness and desire to hear and respond to constructive feedback. An individual at this level in their career is expected to perform their role within the standard of care acceptable to their peers in the industry. A Mid-level Interior Designer is expected to work collaboratively with the architectural team, conceptualizing, developing, and documenting varying aspects of the interior design of a project, including but not limited to space planning, interior architecture, interior materials and palette, specifications and FFE.

• Ambassador and steward of the firm's portfolio of work.

• Engage with a professional organization outside the firm that contributes to the visibility of the firm.

• Integrate the design principles that impact the human experience of interior spaces into all projects.
• Knowledge of building construction systems, constructability, materials, and industry associated standards.
• Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUP, Newforma, recent modeling software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Interior Design or related field is required.
• Licensed or pursuing Interior Design Licensure is preferred.
• Portfolio required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience preferred.

Stantec offers a flexible work schedule policy. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Transparency:

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
