Product Manager, Product Data Platform

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword—it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

We are seeking a Product Manager to establish Trust as a fundamental feature of our Product Data Platform. In this role, you will define and execute the strategy to enhance the reliability, discoverability, and AI-readiness of our product data. You will work at the intersection of data governance, metadata management, and developer experience to ensure product metrics can be confidently used enterprise-wide to fuel innovation and growth.

Your Impact - Responsibilities:

  • Define and champion the vision, strategy, and roadmap for trust within the data platform.
  • Improve product data quality by establishing well-governed instrumentation and schema practices.
  • Design and deliver methods to expose quality and usability metadata through a knowledge graph, enabling semantic understanding, automated reasoning, and accelerating AI-powered applications.
  • Establish and maintain quality assessment frameworks, benchmarks, and reporting to ensure adherence to data quality standards.
  • Build and scale discovery capabilities, allowing users to quickly find and apply trusted metrics.

User Advocacy:

  • Recognize that a data platform is a two-sided marketplace, and actively listen to both user groups: analysts and application developers consuming metrics, and data engineers producing them.
  • Engage deeply with users through interviews, community channels, and analytics to understand pain points and develop solutions they value.

Defining Success:

  • Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that measure data usability (e.g., time-to-find, understand, and use) and trust (e.g., data quality, reliability, and compliance).
  • Ensure that improvements in metadata and data governance directly translate into measurable user impact.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience in technical leadership.
  • Data Governance Expertise: Experience implementing data governance requirements and both external (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SOX) and internal (e.g., data retention, access, classification) data policies and regulations.
  • Strong Execution: A proven track record of delivering data platform features in complex environments, demonstrating transparency, effective prioritization, and a bias for action.
  • Exceptional Communicator: Capable of simplifying complex information for diverse audiences and building alignment across various functions and levels.

Required Qualifications:

  • Product Leadership in Data: 6+ years of experience leading platform or infrastructure products, particularly in data streaming, telemetry, or observability domains.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable collaborating with engineers on topics such as event-driven architectures, instrumentation schemas, Kafka, and real-time pipelines. While coding is not required, fluency in technical language is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Metadata: Prior experience managing metadata as a product via a Graph Database or an Ontology management tool, with an understanding of what it takes to prepare data for consumption by AI agents.
  • Data Governance: Prior experience in applying data governance principles to application telemetry and product data.
  • Strategic Approach: Ability to anticipate future trends, understand business and industry direction, and align technical roadmaps accordingly.
