Salesforce is seeking a strategic and collaborative Product Marketing Manager to lead product naming and support high-impact initiatives on the Launch and Release Marketing team. In this role, you'll own product naming strategy across our portfolio and help drive broader naming consistency across the company.

You'll also contribute to strategic programs that support global product launches and release cycles, working cross-functionally to ensure Salesforce brings innovations to market with clarity, impact, and consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the Salesforce product naming process, including strategy, governance, and naming conventions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional and executive alignment on naming decisions, often across multiple stakeholders and tight timelines.
  • Develop naming frameworks that align with business priorities and improve customer understanding.
  • Provide guidance and documentation to educate teams across Product and PMM on naming principles and best practices.
  • Chair a cross-functional Naming Council to align on naming decisions across product, brand, campaigns, content, events, and more.
  • Collaborate with legal and trademark teams to vet and clear names for use globally.
  • Maintain and manage a global product naming database to ensure consistency and reduce redundancy.
  • Contribute to the Launch and Release Marketing team's strategic programs that scale go-to-market excellence, including processes for bringing new innovations to market and supporting global release communications.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in product marketing, brand strategy, naming, or related field.
  • Experience driving naming decisions for products or services, ideally in B2B or tech.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to clearly explain rationale and influence across levels.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strategic thinker who can balance creative and analytical approaches to naming.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Salesforce products and ecosystem.
  • Experience working with legal, brand, or localization teams on naming.
